I would definitely recommend you and your team to anyone who's starting college applications.
I think it's one of the most confusing processes out there and I think with you it makes it a whole lot easier and a lot more concise and easy to navigate and I think I'm very grateful to have done this with you.
I will be going to NYU Gallatin next year.
I'm just really excited first I think to be in the city but also to explore the vast educational opportunities there like museums and stuff like that that really are close to what I want to do in the future.
At Gallatin you do create kind of an individualized major but I know I want to do something close to history and anthropology.
I really enjoyed having a big timeline with everything I needed to do that I could check off and see the dates.
I think that helped me stay on time and organized and that way it was a lot less intimidating to approach the whole college admissions process as well and I also think being able to reach out to Anjali for any sort of problem I had, any question that was like very comforting in regards to all this.
I think that having someone kind of guide me through the college essay work and all that was really helpful.
I think they're very daunting at first but being able to actually discuss what the questions they mean, what the questions they're asking mean and how to approach them was really helpful for me and it became a lot easier to just start kind of knocking those essays out.
I think being able to take the prompt that they give you and like make it as closely to yourself and what you want to say was very helpful if that makes sense.
Just being able to get the most important part of the prompt and turn that into something about yourself was really helpful.
So I made a short documentary or film about abortion rights in Texas and basically I followed a pro-life protest here and then how that kind of was just a part of all the events that led to the Roe v. Wade decision later in the year.
And I had director Lionel Steckety help me with this and that was a super inspiring and also fun experience in a way.
I think it really helped me learn like project management and time management especially and I feel like it was a creative way to show who I am to college admissions which I really enjoyed doing.
I think the projects that I did and that I have in my resume and then the summer course that I took at the Brown pre-college definitely helped a lot and they also just were enlightening on the kind of stuff that I want to be doing in the future so I think it also let me play around with what I want to study and what I want to work as so that was very helpful.
I liked that everyone was very quick to respond, very honest and I think told me like when I really needed to get something done and I feel like that was very helpful in the long run.
You might not get as individualized of an experience and I think being able to have this process tailored to you and what you want to do is way more helpful than anything out there that you might just get on YouTube or something like that.
I think if you're on the fence about doing this, I think keep in mind the encouragement and the guidance that your kid or you are able to get from this.
I think it's pretty difficult to get just doing this by yourself.
I find that without that encouragement and guidance, I think everything would be a lot more difficult for me to navigate.
